EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years of prior secretarial or clerical experience.
Position Function/Purpose
An Elementary Secretary shall carry out all school related activities as directed by the principal. The secretary shall facilitate the efficient running of the school office and foster good public relations.
Essential Functions
1. Handling any and all correspondence of the principal
2. Answering and screening all phone calls of the principal and relaying messages
3. Keeping a calendar of appointments for the principal
4. Prepare reports for the principal as directed
5. Post all announcements regarding the school schedule
6. Meet and deal with parental concerns
7. Directing student problems to the proper personnel
8. Handle all bookkeeping responsibilities
9. Order supplies for the school
10. Key in necessary information on the computer
11. File all materials as directed by the principal
12. Collect and keep all material that deals with campus personnel
13. Ensure confidentially when requested
Qualification Requirements
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Prior secretarial or clerical experience
3. Basic computer knowledge
4. Filing skills
5. Good telephone communication skills
