Responsible for the daily financial reporting and analysis of a department. Assists in all fiscal activities including account reconciliation, budget planning, expenditure approval, procurement, financial reporting, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds. Knowledge of administrative compliance, financial reporting, and applicable business practices and procedures. Knowledge of and ability to influence budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling, and procedural changes. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others; attention to detail. Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), databases and Adobe. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or other directly related field is required. Prepares monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information. Makes recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures. Oversees monthly account balancing, reconciliations and records management for department specific accounts. Researches and analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure appropriate recording; analyzes all prepaid expenses and encumbrances, and prepares regular reports; responsible for general ledger. Tracks and updates faculty clinical, administrative, education, grant-committed time, and salary and incentive information. Assists with effort reporting, FTE and time card accountability. Assists with preparation and development of the annual budget. Hires, supervises, mentors, evaluates and assigns work to junior staff. Performs all other duties as assigned.
