Main Purpose of Job

This full-time contractual position is responsible for assisting the Senior Prescription Drug Assistance Program (SPDAP) Director with organizing, planning, and coordinating SPDAP operations to include systems, audits, budgets, performance and contracts/procurements. This position also includes budget management of SPDAP and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) operations totaling approximately $14 million annually as well as oversight of a bank account that handles approximately $12 million annually.\n\n\nThis position is eligible for hybrid telework.\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and six years of health or human services administrative or professional experience, including three years at a supervisory or managerial level.\n\n\nA Master's degree from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the general experience and a Doctorate will substitute for two years of the general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the college degree.\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Desired candidates should possess experience in the following:\n\n\n Microsoft Office, especially Excel Spreadsheets and Access Databases\n General Accounting\n Project Budget Development, Project Budget Projections and Statistical Analysis\n Project Outreach Efforts, to include making presentations to diverse target groups\n Contract Monitoring\n Conflict Resolution and Customer Relations\n COMAR\n\n\n

BENEFITS

\nContractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\nLeave may be granted to a contractual employee at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\n\n
