- Performs a wide range of secretarial and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the department.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Samaritan Cancer Program offers state-of-the-art, high-energy linear accelerators, which are computer controlled to deliver an extremely precise radiation treatment based on each patients customized treatment plan.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience and/or training with computer applications required.
- Two (2) years experience in a position of similar complexity and responsibility required or equivalent college level course work.
- Experience and/or training with medical terminology preferred.
- GSR Radiation Oncology:
- Typing speed of 35 wpm preferred.
- KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology as well as electronic medical record systems. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
- Communication - Proficient communication skills in dealing with hospital employees, customers and external organizations. Ability to show tact and professionalism in dealing with a variety of people and to communicate and listen effectively in an appropriate and positive manner.
- Computer Literacy - Proficient computer skills in department applications.
