    Job Title : Office Aide (Part-time - 20 hours per week)
    Reports to : Building Principal
    Location: Harrison Elementary
    Pay Rate: $13.60 per hour

We are seeking an Office Aide (Part-time - 20 hours per week) to join our team at Harrison Elementary School.

    Job Summary: The Office Aide provides clerical, receptionist, and customer service support to assist in the daily operation of the school office. Under the direction of the Building Principal and School Secretary, the Office Aide performs routine office functions, assists students, staff, parents, and visitors, and provides administrative support to facilitate efficient building operations.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Greet and assist students, staff, parents, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages, and provide routine information.
    • Receive visitors and follow established district visitor management procedures.
    • Schedule appointments and assist with routine office communications.
    • Prepare, copy, sort, distribute, and file correspondence, forms, records, and other documents.
    • Assist with data entry and routine recordkeeping activities as directed.
    • Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
    • Assist with attendance documentation and routine office procedures.
    • Organize and maintain office files, records, and materials.
    • Maintain office supply inventories and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need replenished.
    • Assist students who are ill or injured and follow established procedures for obtaining appropriate assistance.
    • Provide clerical and organizational support to building administration and the School Secretary.
    • Maintain confidentiality of student, staff, and district information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or School Secretary.

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Previous clerical, office support, customer service, cash handling, or bookkeeping experience preferred.

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to perform clerical and organizational duties accurately and efficiently. Ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, and visitors. Ability to handle routine financial transactions with accuracy and maintain organized records. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while following established district procedures and direction from building administration and the School Secretary.
