Requirements:
Reporting to the Director of Payroll, the Payroll Administrator will be responsible for supporting North America payrolls, hourly and salaried, including the Manufacturing Facilities, Distribution Warehouses, Sales Force, and Corporate Offices. Main duties will include payroll processing, support of timekeeping, maintenance of all payroll records and files, reconciliation and support of the general ledger, audit assistance, data analysis and other tasks within the finance organization.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Review and export time data to support payroll processing.
- Calculate and process payroll wages and salaries using trusted systems and processes.
- Issue payroll wages using banking and payroll software, balancing, and confirming as needed.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure that employee data is maintained appropriately.
- Support the balancing of payroll accounts by providing reporting, auditing information, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
- Process wage assignments and garnishments working with the vendor to ensure transmission of funds.
- Supporting team members with questions, forms, and updates to key information.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education, including HCM vendor training.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Ensures compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
- Strive to support the larger organization by sharing skills and being at the ready to support as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in payroll or a relevant field in finance or HR required.
- Excellent computer skills: experience in payroll software, UKG and Microsoft Office Suite experience strongly preferred; additional system knowledge a plus.
- Understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Precise attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively across multiple organizations and businesses.
- Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
