ADB Companies is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CFO to serve as a trusted strategic partner and operational right hand to the Chief Financial Officer. This high-impact role is responsible for driving financial and operational excellence across the organization, enabling informed executive decision-making, and ensuring accountability on key priorities. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Executive Support Serve as a trusted advisor and operational right hand to the CFO, managing day-to-day priorities, decision support, and confidential matters with the utmost discretion. Anticipate the needs of the CFO; proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities across Finance and Operations before they escalate. Prepare, review, and synthesize briefing materials, executive presentations, board reports, and financial summaries to enable informed, timely decisions. Represent the interests of the CFO in cross-functional forums, leadership meetings, and stakeholder engagements. Track and drive accountability on strategic priorities, action items, and commitments on behalf of the executive. Finance & Accounting Operations Partner closely with the CFO to manage and oversee core finance functions including budgeting, forecasting, Work in Progress (WIP), Job Cost Reviews, Cash Flow management, and P&L reporting. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership and the board. Support management of audits, financial controls, and compliance activities in coordination with the accounting team. Oversee financial cadences including close processes, forecast cycles, and budget planning ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are accurate. Operations Leadership Partner with the CFO to drive operational excellence across all lines of business analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements. Lead and/or support large-scale, cross-functional operational initiatives from planning through execution, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder accountability. Develop and track operational KPIs; build dashboards and reporting mechanisms that give leadership real-time visibility into performance. Champion process standardization and scalability across regions, ensuring standards are consistently applied. Serve as the primary point of escalation for operational issues, driving timely and effective resolution across stakeholders. Administrative & Executive Office Management Manage the CFO's calendar, scheduling priorities, travel logistics, and meeting preparation to maximize executive effectiveness. Coordinate and prepare agendas, pre-reads, and follow-up documentation for leadership team meetings, board sessions, and all-hands communications. Own the operating rhythm of the Finance and Operations functions including recurring reviews, leadership syncs, and quarterly business reviews. Draft, review, and manage executive correspondence, internal communications, and announcements on behalf of the CFO. Maintain and organize critical documentation. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for Finance and Operations leadership team members. Track and manage expense reporting, vendor relationships, and budget oversight for the executive office. Communication & Stakeholder Management Develop and execute communication strategies that enable seamless information flow across Finance, Operations, and the broader organization. Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization, acting as a connector between the CFO and internal teams, clients, and external partners. Facilitate alignment across competing priorities and stakeholders; drive decisions to closure when ambiguity or conflict arises. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive dynamics synthesizing insights for executive awareness and strategic planning. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with ERP and financial systems a plus. Willingness and ability to travel nationally as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primarily works in a professional office environment. May occasionally visit field or construction project sites; must adhere to all PPE and safety requirements including safety glasses, hard hat, safety vest, and steel-toed boots. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 3+ years of progressive experience in finance, operations, strategy, or management consulting with demonstrated exposure to executive-level decision support. Proven expertise in financial management including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and WIP/job cost reporting. Experience in the Technology, Telecom, and/or Utility Construction industry strongly preferred. 2+ years of experience managing direct reports required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred The starting pay for this position is $140,000.
