1001918 Position Description Salary Range: $71,305.18 - $89,131.48 Pay Grade: 116 FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Admin Plan: A&P Veterans' Preference Eligible: No Position Summary The Institutional Policy Administrator is responsible for leading the development, coordination, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of college-wide policies, procedures, and related governance processes. This position ensures institutional policies and procedures are aligned with the College's mission, strategic priorities, and applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. The Institutional Policy Administrator serves as a subject matter resource to College leadership, administrators, and stakeholders by providing guidance on policy development, interpretation, compliance, and review processes. The role facilitates collaboration with subject matter experts, legal counsel, and campus stakeholders to analyze, draft, revise, communicate, and evaluate institutional policies and procedures. Additionally, the position oversees the College's recurring policy review cycle to ensure policies remain current, effective, and operationally aligned with institutional goals and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties Leads the development, implementation, communication, maintenance, and continuous improvement of college-wide policies, procedures, guidelines, and departmental procedures to ensure alignment and compliance with institutional goals and applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations, including Florida Statutes, Chapter 120. Conducts research and benchmarking of higher education best practices to support the creation, evaluation, and enhancement of institutional policies and procedures. Coordinates and manages the policy development and review process, including analyzing, drafting, editing, revising, and evaluating policies in collaboration with subject matter experts, senior leadership, administrators, legal counsel, and key stakeholders. Provides consultative guidance and policy interpretation services to College executives, administrators, and designated policy contacts regarding policy development, implementation, and compliance matters. Reviews and evaluates feedback from the College community related to policies and procedures and recommends revisions, clarifications, or additions to improve effectiveness, consistency, and compliance. Oversees the College's recurring policy review cycle to ensure policies and procedures remain current, effective, and aligned with evolving laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and strategic priorities. Maintains documentation, tracking systems, and records related to institutional policies and procedures to support governance, transparency, and compliance efforts. Facilitates communication and training related to policy updates, changes, and implementation across the College community. Monitors changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and higher education trends to proactively identify potential impacts on institutional policies and procedures. Supports institutional governance and risk management efforts by promoting policy consistency, accountability, and operational compliance across all College divisions. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Legal Studies, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field required; five (5) years of related experience in in policy management/administration, compliance, legal services, HR management, higher education; demonstrated experience in public policy or administrative research and writing, and managing special projects; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
