Family Law Legal Assistant
Location: Century City, CA
Compensation: $80K to $110K per year along with comprehensive benefits.
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
LHH is partnering with a respected family law firm in Century City seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with a strong foundation in legal support and at least two years of family law experience. Enjoy a stable, collegial environment with no billable hour requirements.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys on a range of family law matters including divorce, custody, support disputes, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements
Maintain organized and up-to-date digital case files for active and archived matters
Manage deadlines, track hearings, and coordinate attorney calendars to ensure timely filings and court appearances
Assist with drafting and formatting legal documents including pleadings, declarations, and discovery responses, and facilitate proper service and filing procedures
Serve as a point of contact between attorneys and clients, ensuring consistent communication and updates
Support trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, assisting with trial notebooks, and compiling materials for hearings and settlement conferences
Qualifications:
2+ years of legal support experience, including at least 2 years in family law
Experience with matrimonial matters strongly preferred but not required
Strong understanding of family law procedures, filings, and case lifecycle
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
