Position Summary:
As a Front Office Supervisor at the Marriott Salt Lake City Center, you are the heartbeat of the guest experience. You will lead a dedicated team of front office agents and bell/valet staff to ensure every guest receives a seamless, sophisticated, and memorable stay. This role blends hands on operational leadership with a high level commitment to guest service and upholding our reputation as one of the top hotels in Salt Lake City.
Core Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise daily shift operations, providing guidance, coaching, and support to the front office team. Ensure staff are energized and informed about daily arrivals, VIPs, groups, events, and Marriott Bonvoy targets.
Guest Excellence: Act as the primary point of contact for guest escalations, resolving challenges with empathy, professionalism, and "Make It Right" empowerment.
Operational Oversight: Manage room inventory, oversee the check in/check out process, and ensure accurate billing and cash handling procedures.
Brand Standards: Maintain the high service standards of the Marriott brand, ensuring key service and operational touchstones are consistently maintained.
Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping, engineering, F&B, and hotel leadership to ensure smooth daily operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in hotel front desk operations. Previous supervisory or lead experience is highly preferred.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills which are crucial for drafting professional guest and internal correspondence.
Problem Solving: The ability to remain calm under pressure and think on your feet in a fast paced downtown environment.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with property management and inventory systems such as FSPMS or MARSHA are a significant plus.
