Job Description


This is a 1 st shift position working 12 hour shifts in the inpatient unit with 12 hours per week. No weekend requirements. The position requires multi tasking and the applicant can be cross-trained to other functions. This position is under the direction and supervision of the Director of Inpatient Services.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior Unit Clerk experience desired
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing clerical and receptionist duties such as answering the phone and directing calls
  • Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors
  • Maintain accurate and updated patient charts and electronic records
  • Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in the system
  • Order and maintain unit supplies and equipment as directed
  • Collaborate with nurses and healthcare providers to ensure smooth workflow
  • Monitor and relay messages between physicians, nurses, and other departments
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic data entry and computer skills
