Support several Senior Staff members with daily operations as well as other members of the Progress Rail Albertville, AL office.

Key Job Elements

• Process confidential documents. Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
• Generate various reports, documents and correspondence;
• Analyze data and present reports when necessary;
• General administrative duties including: answering phones, copies, faxing, mail, filing, and email;
• Manage schedules including conference calls and meetings;
• Coordinate travel arrangements;
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, invoices, expense reports and other documents;
• Maintain and update multiple spreadsheets on a regular basis;
• Communicate with all levels of management;
• Assist in supporting domestic customer visits at manufacturing facilities in the U.S.;
• Assist with special events;
• Other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Education / Training

• High School degree, Bachelors Degree preferred;
• 1-2 years of experience in an administrative position.

Qualifications and Experience

• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
• Must be able to work well with all levels of the organization;
• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Excellent follow-through skills and attention to detail;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Proven written and verbal communication skills;
• Detail-oriented / sense of urgency / follow-through;
• Ability to take initiative, to work independently, and with confidentiality.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions:
• Strength Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Constant sitting;
• Motion Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with office communications;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements Regular verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment Work environment is consistent with standard office environment;
• Emotional Demands Supports Sr Vice President and other executives in the LaGrange office, interfaces with international customers. Will require communication with diverse population, both internal and external to company, including customers, government representative, employees, and managers;
• Safety Work environment is consistent with standard office environment.
