Schedule : Full Time 40 hours/week | 8:30am-5pm | Monday-Friday

Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Assisted Living | Chelsea, MI

What You’ll Do in This Role:

As the Assisted Living Receptionist , you’ll be the welcoming face and voice of our community, creating a warm and professional first impression for residents, families, visitors, and staff. In this key role, you’ll manage incoming calls and inquiries, provide clear direction and assistance, and ensure that every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Beyond the front desk, you’ll also support the Assisted Living Administrator, Nurse Managers, and supervisory staff with important administrative tasks that help keep our community running smoothly. Primary Responsibilities:

Be the First Connection

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and guests with a warm welcome, offering directions and assistance.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, operate the paging system, and keep contact lists current.

Support Daily Operations

  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and updating important documents.
  • Help with staffing calls, filing resident records, and keeping medical/admission charts organized.

Keep Things Running Smoothly

  • Coordinate daily menus, nurse report sheets, and maintain essential forms and supplies.
  • Pitch in with projects, problem-solving, and other tasks to support Assisted Living & Memory Care.

Create a Welcoming Environment

  • Monitor the café for cleanliness and supplies, preparing coffee as needed.
  • Ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and visitors at all times.

What You’ll Need:

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 35 pounds independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a front office, ideally in a healthcare or fast-paced clinic environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting or working with older adults.
