ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
- Greet victims in person or over the phone who come to the Police Department Family Violence Unit and assist victims to identify their needs.
- Identify victim's case number, or the name of the person they wish to speak with while not discussing the case itself, or the rights and obstacles pertaining to the case.
- Maintain database for Magistrate Emergency Orders of Protection that have been requested and/or granted.
- Maintain database of copies of signed Magistrate Emergency Orders of Protection to the Victims.
- Maintain database for Final Order of Protection requested and granted.
- Assist Case Managers and Victim Counselor to prepare monthly and quarterly statistical reports for the department as required by the grant.
- Print initial contact letters to send to victims on weekly basis and mail out letters.
- Responsible for small assigned caseload of individuals with a runaway status to ensure proper documentation and follow up on status.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of experience
- Must be able to pass a police background
- A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
