ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
The Contract/Funds Administrator will demonstrate a commitment to providing continuous quality service while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of our citizens and employees.
- Draft RFQs and RFPs to advertise and disseminate to potential vendors.
- Draft contracts and contract amendments in consultation with the Legal Department.
- Prepare project budgets and work with departments to prevent budget over-runs.
- Prepare advanced funding agreements for the department.
- Prepare and execute consultant contracts and amendments to consultant contracts as needed.
- Prepare interlocal agreements with organizations such TxDot, RTA, Nueces County, etc.
- Ensure correct proration of contact funds between various City departments involved in a project as well as State and local government partners.
- Prepare agenda items for Council meetings.
- Negotiate contracts to finalize the recommendation of award
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience
- A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
- A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
