ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will demonstrate a commitment to providing continuous quality service, protect and promote the brand, image, and reputation of the City, while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of our citizens and employees.

  • Provide project management, oversight, and supervision of design and construction of Capital Improvement Projects.
  • Coordinate and prepare reports and correspondence in response to requests for information from City departments and/or stakeholder representatives.
  • Ensure projects are reviewed within City timelines by coordinating technical staff reviews in multiple departments.
  • Prepare City Counsel agenda material such as ordinance, memorandums, and presentations.
  • Plan, track, and manage to success the projects assigned.
  • Track capital budgets and provide financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of project status and issues.
  • Conduct public information meetings, periodic site visits as required.
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
  • A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

  • Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
  • Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
