Serving as the first point of contact for the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA), the Child Support Receptionist is responsible for a variety of administrative and customer service tasks. This position plays a crucial role in assisting customers and managing communication within the Child Support department. The Child Support Receptionist position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide welcoming, professional, and efficient service to both clients and staff.
Duties 60% Performs specialized clerical tasks (e.g., copies employment and income verifications and other various paperwork, updates agency reception database, prepares forms and envelopes, prepares receipts for paperwork that is submitted to the agency and distributes accordingly), and assists clients with paperwork as needed.
15% Answers Agency phone calls and routes calls to the appropriate Agency staff member.
10% Greets and checks-in customers and court hearing attendees.
5% Collects, scans, and routes daily Agency mail to the appropriate Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) employee.
10% Performs other related duties as required.
- Twelve months experience as a Unit Support Worker 1, 30111 and a valid driver's license.
- Or formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing, and a valid driver's license. Also requires an additional twelve months experience in typing, keyboarding or word processing and working in an office environment handling in-person and/or telephone contacts with clients, customers and/or general public.
