Position: Receptionist, Office of the President and Public Relations
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Institutional Advancement and Public Relations
Reports to: Vice President for External Affairs
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
- Greet college employees and visitors to the President's Suite, directing them to the appropriate office or persons; providing factual information or material to routine inquiries (within the capability to do so and within prescribed policies).
- Direct calls and campus visitors to appropriate personnel for assistance.
- Record messages accurately and legibly according to established practices.
- Forward messages to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Prepare and post materials and proofread information for the college website.
- Prepare and send college-wide email correspondence and updates.
- Assist with posting social media as directed.
- Provide support, setup and clean up for occasional Public Relations and Foundation programs, meetings, and events including evening events or programs.
- Participate in special projects and committees as directed.
- Complete required college trainings as assigned.
- Answer multi-line telephone console in a courteous and timely manner.
- Attentively listen, note questions and requests, and use sound judgement and knowledge of the organization, operations, and procedures to appropriately respond to questions and requests posed by callers and visitors to the campus.
- Provide back-up assistance to the President, Vice President for External Affairs, and President's office staff as time permits and as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Administrative Technology or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience with a multi-line telephone.
- Ability to multi-task.
