Job Overview:

The Scheduler/Receptionist, Outpatient Women s Imaging, assists by performing specific clerical functions for assigned areas.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Graduate

Preferred:

  • Clerical experience, including typing and filing
  • BLS

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem, Day Shift
  • Weekend/Holiday rotation

Essential Functions:

  • Meets changing conditions and situations in work responsibilities easily and positively. Displays professional behavior in execution of job responsibilities. Is resourceful and diligent in job responsibilities
  • Communicates effectively and courteously to all patients and family
  • Proficient at making, cancelling, and maintaining appointments, as well as scheduling patient s procedures
  • Protects patient s confidentiality by following rules and guidelines of Patient s Privacy Rights of HIPPA
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and professional work area. Seeks out appropriate uses of time during non-busy periods and has the skill to self-direct and to identify tasks to be accomplished
  • Checks to see if all necessary documents, reports, and prescriptions are complete and in patient s packet. Confirms accuracy of patient s history and personal information
  • Prepares charts for each day and confirms all information is up to date. Greets patients in accordance with excellent customer service training. Charts any necessary notes neatly, accurately, thoroughly and signs initials. Notifies team members of any waiting patients and relays information from patient to necessary team member in a courteous and private manner
  • Demonstrates an ability to adapt to change and can practice flexibility to maintain schedule. Demonstrates consistent skills and job performance despite personal concerns. Maintains professional appearance appropriate for position
  • Communicates effectively and courteously to all staff. Is aware how own actions effects work and time of others
