Receptionist Wanted

The Bird House (birdhousenyc.com) is a New York Magazine and Time Out New York top NYC salon is the #1 Rated salon in Brooklyn on Yelp. We have two locations (Gowanus and Bushwick) and we are seeking a Receptionist to work at our Bushwick location. At this moment, the job is part-time, but could lead to a full-time position.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

-- welcoming guests in and checking them out
-- managing emails, phone calls, and text messages
-- managing the schedules of our stylist team when they need to reschedule their books
-- managing the vibe of the salon -- music, positive energy, a warm, and welcoming spirit are all a huge part of the job!

We seek someone who:

-- Brings a positive, kind energy.
-- Is organized and detail-oriented
-- Someone who can answer phones, manage and craft well-written and polite emails, and deal with all varieties of challenges with salon life. There's never a dull moment! Ability to multi-task with grace and friendly professionalism is a must.

Your role is absolutely crucial to the overall success of the salon, because great customer service is one of our highest values. You truly set essential impressions for our guests and are in many ways the heartbeat of our salon.
