Job Title:Executive AssistantDepartment:Student Academic Excellence Administration | Student Success Research Lab

The Executive Assistant provides high-level support to two Assistant Vice Provosts (AVPs): the AVP of the Student Success Research Lab (SSRL) and the AVP of Military and Veterans Services (MVS). The AVP-MVS coordinates programs and policies that support students who are Veterans, Reservists, National Guardsmen, Active Duty, ROTC, or military family members, and provides curricular and co-curricular training for ROTC students. The AVP-SSRL supports continuous improvement of the universitys broader student academic success infrastructure through research, assessment, grantwork, and strategic planning.

The position provides cross-functional management and administration of resources for both AVP offices, and ensures day-to-day operations are well coordinated in order to optimize portfolio priorities, including but not limited to processes and operations, human capital, budgeting and finance, communications, events, travel, and scheduling. The Executive Assistant uses sound judgment to assist in solving complex problems and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly; coordinates instructor appointments and staff hires; tracks and forecasts enrollments and expenditures; maintains an in-depth knowledge of areas, activities, and priorities within both offices in order to effectively identify and navigate emerging issues, anticipate conflicts, and make decisions; serves as a liaison with HR, Fiscal, OTDI, vendors, and other internal and external operational partners; interacts with development officers, Student Financial Aid, and other offices on the proposal and execution of gifts and grants; helps plan and organize events; and helps coordinate communications for both offices. The Executive Assistant contributes to a collaborative office/instructional team culture, and is a highly resourceful team player with the ability to function effectively and independently to execute projects of moderate scope and complexity: they receive general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects, with wide scope to apply independent judgment within key parameters.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum 2 years of work-related experience relevant to the key duties listed above; handles confidential information appropriately; demonstrates poise, professionalism, good judgment, and positive attitude; focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities; clear, concise, professional writing; proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom.

Desired:

2-4 years of work-related experience preferred relevant to the key duties listed above; experience with data entry and reporting; knowledge of University policies, procedures, and operational systems such as Workday.

Additional Information:

The pay range for this job profile is $ 55,700 - $72,700. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
