The Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and callers at our Mission Support Center. Located within the HR suite, this position supports the Human Resources team by answering phones, greeting visitors, and assisting with administrative and onboarding tasks to help ensure a welcoming and organized environment.

This is a Part-Time position that can work 5 days of 5-hour shifts or 3 days of 8-hour shifts within a Monday - Friday period.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the front desk representative for the HR department, providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests.
  • Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate departments or staff.
  • Respond to the doorbell and manage visitor inquiries.
  • Maintain organization of the HR supply closet and office supplies.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Assist with meeting setup in the Board Room and other shared spaces.
  • Support onboarding processes by assembling new hire folders, packing welcome backpacks, and printing materials.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and provide support to the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR team as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Prior experience in administrative support or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
  • Must align with the mission and values of Atlanta Mission and support a Christ-centered work environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking)
  • Must have the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs
  • Must be able to distinguish or determine smell
  • Must have the ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator and computer printer
  • Must be able to communicate accurate information
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
  • Must have peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
