**Job Summary and Qualifications**

Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility. Provides directory information, transfers calls as appropriate. Makes general and emergency announcements over the facilitys PA system. Monitors alarm panels, notifies appropriate Trauma personnel. Assists patients and employees with outgoing calls. Communicates with civil authorities and management during emergencies.

**What qualifications you will need:**

+ Requires a calm attitude, behavior, interpersonal skill, and problem solving that enable an employee to respond to internal and external customer needs and expectations in a positive manner.

+ High school graduate.

+ One to two years experience with SPOK Medi-call and Communicator NXT preferred.

+ One to three years experience as a PBX operator in a Hospital setting

+ Clear and concise speaking voice.

+ Oral and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required
