BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You'll Be Doing:

Acts on behalf of supervisor to manage an extensive portfolio of cases certified to the Attorney General's office.

Serves as a liaison between the Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) and other entities, including the Attorney General's office and special counsel.

Assists in the training of staff on workers' compensation subrogation matters.

Serves as the program resource for attorneys who are trying or settling a subrogation case.

Processes certification of subrogation claims to the Attorney General's office.

Partners with the Attorney General's office and special counsel to ensure compliance with court deadlines and timelines.

Qualifications

To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate:

4 years training or 4 years experience in business administration management science or public administration.

-OR completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration AND 2 years training or 2 years experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.

-OR completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file AND 2 years training or 2 years experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.

-OR 1 year experience as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

-OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above

Knowledge of: management science; public relations; legal terminology*; BWC policies & procedures related to subrogation unit*; BWC claims processes*; laws, rules & regulations pertaining to subrogation*.

Skill in: operation of Personal Computer; use of applicable computer applications
