Purpose:

The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing U.S. weekly and biweekly payrolls and compiling payroll data to maintain accurate and compliant payroll records.

Requirements:

  • Processes U.S. weekly and biweekly payrolls; conducts audits to ensure accuracy and minimize off cycle payrolls.
  • Updates employee payroll records to reflect new hires, terminations, and other employment changes affecting payroll.
  • Ensures all payroll transactions comply with internal policies and relevant federal, state, and local laws.
  • Prepares and processes overtime adjustments at the close of each accounting period.
  • Reviews timecards for approvals, coding issues, and other potential errors.
  • Monitors ADP payroll reports and alerts the Payroll Clerk or HR to any issues.
  • Reconciles payroll and maintains complete and accurate payroll records.
  • Processes payroll adjustments including PTO, sick leave, and other time off.
  • Sets up employees time and attendance policies.
  • Reviews employees' tax setup.
  • Maintains knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements.
  • Responds to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies.
  • Participates in problem-solving and special projects within the payroll team.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Excel preferred
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems
  • 2 years payroll experience required
  • Experience with ADP software preferred

Education:

  • GED Required; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • FPC preferred and/or combination of experience and certification

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000- $70,000, and includes benefits such as the following:
