Job Summary

Under the direction of the School Based Health Center Manager, the incumbent is responsible to perform a wide variety of duties to include coordination of support staff workflow, scheduling, coordinating patient appointments according to department protocols, and data reporting while ensuring an environment which promotes a positive patient experience.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills required.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a hospital or health care related field.
  • High level of proficiency with Epic
  • Current experience with HHC School Based Health Center Program

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to make independent decisions within his/her area of responsibility. Strong analytical skills. Good verbal skills in the English language required daily. Excellent telephone skills required. Ability to learn use of all equipment necessary to perform job. Excellent PC skills including word processing and data entry require d. Ability to adapt in fast paced, stressful environment. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary. Work is performed in accordance with instruction and procedures, but requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
