Job Description
Description:
The front desk attendant greets and manages visitors to the site, maintains logs of onsite visitors, manages and orders office supplies/items, answers and triages phone calls, stocks and checks inventory of office supplies, schedules catering for company events, sends and receives mail.
The position is a M - F, 8am - 4pm, 40 hour/week job with occasional overtime required and receives a paid lunch break onsite from 11:30a - 12p daily.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and receive visitors with a positive and welcoming demeanor
- Manage visitor entry and exit to the site according to company policies
- Maintain visitors entry/exit logs
- Organize, distribute, sends and receives mail
- Orders and tracks office supplies inventory levels
- Assist office staff with non-routine tasks as assigned (logs, record keeping etc.)
- Stocks conference room to support customer and supplier visits
- Raises and lower company flags in accordance with local governance guidelines
- Communicates with vendors to order meals and supplies for company events or customers/supplier visits
- Writes SOP's and Work Instructions to document standard work
- Receives government classified packages, and files receiving paperwork accordingly
- Triages main phone line inquiries
- Ensures that the plant front lobby area is a clean and welcoming environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
The front desk attendant sits at a desk for extended periods of time.
Physical Demands & Skills:
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.
- Must spend long periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and/or employees.
- Understanding and use of group decision-making techniques, and problem-solving meeting techniques.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates or Technical degree is a plus.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience recommended.
