Job Description


Description:

The front desk attendant greets and manages visitors to the site, maintains logs of onsite visitors, manages and orders office supplies/items, answers and triages phone calls, stocks and checks inventory of office supplies, schedules catering for company events, sends and receives mail.

The position is a M - F, 8am - 4pm, 40 hour/week job with occasional overtime required and receives a paid lunch break onsite from 11:30a - 12p daily.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and receive visitors with a positive and welcoming demeanor
  • Manage visitor entry and exit to the site according to company policies
  • Maintain visitors entry/exit logs
  • Organize, distribute, sends and receives mail
  • Orders and tracks office supplies inventory levels
  • Assist office staff with non-routine tasks as assigned (logs, record keeping etc.)
  • Stocks conference room to support customer and supplier visits
  • Raises and lower company flags in accordance with local governance guidelines
  • Communicates with vendors to order meals and supplies for company events or customers/supplier visits
  • Writes SOP's and Work Instructions to document standard work
  • Receives government classified packages, and files receiving paperwork accordingly
  • Triages main phone line inquiries
  • Ensures that the plant front lobby area is a clean and welcoming environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

The front desk attendant sits at a desk for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands & Skills:

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required.
  • Must spend long periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, and/or employees.
  • Understanding and use of group decision-making techniques, and problem-solving meeting techniques.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or Technical degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience recommended.
