Job Summary.

The Unit Clerk acts as receptionist for the assigned nursing unit. Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties to support the nursing staff relating to the updating and organizing of information on the nursing units; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, nurse managers, and charge nurses. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Acts as receptionist for the assigned nursing unit.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties to support the nursing staff relating to the updating and organizing of information on the nursing units.
  • Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, nurse managers, and charge nurses.
  • Peform other duties as required.

Related Experience:

  • Requires excellent organizational skills. Must be able to deal with a range of ongoing tasks at the same time.
  • Conveys a professional and positive image and attitude regarding the organization.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continued professional growth and development.
  • Basic clerical and computer skills.

Education or Degree Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • None
