We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team for a PRN role. This front desk role is vital to ensuring a positive first impression and delivering high-quality customer service to all of our patients. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients—both in person and over the phone—providing excellent service and administrative support to keep our office running smoothly. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming and organized environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Hours: 2-3 days per week or as needed based on staffing needs and the clinic hours are from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Answering multi-line phone systems: Professionally handle incoming calls, direct them appropriately, take accurate messages, and provide general information to patients.

  • Patient check-in/check-out: Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify demographic and insurance information, ensure necessary forms are completed, and facilitate a smooth check-out process after appointments.

  • Scheduling appointments: Coordinate and manage patient appointments efficiently using our scheduling software; confirm appointments and send reminders as needed.

  • Collecting payments: Accurately process co-pays, balances, and other payments; issue receipts and maintain financial records according to office policies.

  • General front office support: Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in using medical scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED , required.

· One year of receptionist experience is required.

· Medical Office experience is highly preferred.

· EMR experience preferred
