This role ensures curriculum alignment with state standards and industry expectations, strengthens communication systems, and supports Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) within CTE pathways. The Administrator fosters partnerships with industry and community stakeholders to enhance student access to career readiness opportunities, including dual credit, certifications, and work-based learning experiences. Additional responsibilities include oversight of CTE grants, budgets, program compliance, workforce development initiatives, and the continued expansion of career pathways. Supervision Received and Exercised Receives general supervision from the Chief Academic Officer of Student Success. Incumbents initially perform the more routine duties assigned to positions in this class and work under close supervision. As experience is gained, incumbents are expected to perform the full range of duties as assigned with increasing independence. The primary duties of this class are performed in a general office environment. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff. Essential Duties Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Communication & Outreach: Develop and implement district-wide CTE communication plan targeting students, parents, staff, and community partners; Coordinate with district communications office to promote CTE programs, successes, and events; Lead regular CTE stakeholder meetings with industry partners, postsecondary institutions, teachers, students, and parents. Curriculum Alignment: Ensure CTE programs meet Idaho Career Technical Education standards and are aligned with industry certifications, dual credit offerings, and evolving workforce needs Lead systematic curriculum review cycles, including adoption of updated resources, equipment, and technology; Partner with core academic departments to support academic integration and cross-curricular initiatives. PLC Support and Professional Development: Provide leadership, coaching, and support for CTE PLC teams in analyzing student achievement data, instructional planning, and assessment practices; Develop and deliver targeted professional development to support best practices in CTE instruction, industry engagement, and technology integration; Mentor new and alternative route CTE teachers and support onboarding into West Ada's instructional framework. Program Management and Expansion: Oversee CTE program offerings at all secondary schools and career centers, ensuring access and equity for all students; Expand work-based learning opportunities (internships, apprenticeships, job shadows) by cultivating strong business and industry partnerships; Collaborate with counselors and career advisors to align academic planning with career pathways. Grants, Budgets, and Compliance: Manage state and federal CTE funding sources, including the Perkins grant, state CTE allocations, and associated budgets; Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements and monitor CTE program effectiveness; Lead annual CTE program evaluation and needs assessment processes. Strategic Planning and Innovation: Support implementation of the district's CTE Strategic Plan, including Year 1 and subsequent year priorities; Develop innovative initiatives to promote access for underrepresented student groups in high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand career fields. Other Duties: Represent district at state and regional CTE meetings, conferences, and advisory councils; Collaborate with Federal Programs, Special Education, Assessment, Curriculum, and Instruction to provide integrated student supports; Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of: Principles, practices, and trends in Career Technical Education, including emerging industry sectors and labor market demands. Principles and practices of program development, planning, goal setting, oversight, project management, implementation and compliance monitoring. Effective strategies for leading and supporting Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Career pathway development, dual credit, certification programs, and work-based learning models. Federal and state education programs, laws and regulations, including Perkins V legislation and Idaho CTE standards. Budget development, grant management, and program compliance specific to CTE funding. Data analysis and continuous improvement processes related to student achievement and program outcomes Ability to: Provide leadership to develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive CTE programs. Independently perform professional analytical work in support of CTE programs. Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, industry partners, and postsecondary institutions. Facilitate and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to drive instructional improvement. Analyze data to inform decision-making, measure program effectiveness, and guide continuous improvement. Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities. Interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulations related to CTE programs and funding. Develop and monitor budgets, administer grants, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Build and sustain partnerships that expand student access to work-based learning, dual credit, and certification opportunities. Operate and use modern office equipment, including computers and appropriate software. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities. Qualifications Any equivalent combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Equivalent to a Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Career and Technical Education, or related field. A valid Idaho Administrator Certificate with appropriate endorsements. Five years of experience as a CTE teacher, with one year of experience as a CTE administrator or related leadership role highly desired. Must have valid Idaho driver's license and provide own transportation for job related activities; job-related travel during the day will be reimbursed at the approved state mileage reimbursement rate. Essential Physical Abilities Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to understand verbal instructions, communicate effectively in person and by phone.
