The Executive Assistant will work closely with the University’s senior leadership to provide top-tier administrative support. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. The successful candidate will be a proactive and resourceful professional who can manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings and events, and handle a variety of tasks with professionalism and efficiency.
This is a site-based role at our Hennepin/Anoka Campus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex executive calendars, ensuring strategic prioritization and optimal use of time.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements, proactively resolving conflicts and aligning with executive priorities.
- Draft, edit, and prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Prepare agendas, notices, and briefing materials for executives.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems to ensure efficient information retrieval.
- Process and submit expense reports accurately and in a timely manner through the University system.
- Plan and execute board meetings, executive council meetings, conferences, and special events.
- Oversee all meeting logistics, including scheduling, agenda preparation, resource needs and catering.
- Serve as a primary liaison between senior executives and internal/external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and partners.
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications (phone, email, and correspondence), ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Arrange comprehensive travel logistics, including itineraries and accommodations, for executives and accompanying personnel.
- Support budget management by tracking expenses and preparing reports for executive review.
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support the development of onboarding and orientation materials for senior-level hires and direct reports.
- Contribute to ad hoc and strategic projects that enhance the effectiveness of the executive leadership team.
- Coordinate special and recurring initiatives as assigned.
Reporting Relationships:
The Executive Assistant will report to the Rasmussen University President.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 5-7 years of professional executive assistant experience supporting C-suite leadership level, preferably in an academic or similar institutional setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when necessary.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Our defined compensation structure is market competitive and is built to reward performance. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $62,000.00 to $83,700.00. We take a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including but not limited to: job and level hired into, location, skill set; experience and training; peer compensation and other business and organizational needs . This range is subject to change.
