OPERATIONS MANAGER - High-End Residential Finish Carpentry

MasterCraft Interiors is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate field operations for our luxury residential finish carpentry projects throughout Park City, Deer Valley, Kamas, Heber, and surrounding areas in Utah.

This role is responsible for transforming project planning into successful field execution by coordinating labor, materials, equipment, schedules, and project requirements. The Operations Manager works closely with the Technical Management Team and reports directly to General Management to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to MasterCraft Interiors' quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a bilingual leader with strong finish carpentry experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to train, mentor, and develop field personnel while maintaining high levels of productivity and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities
  • Report directly to General Management and coordinate operational activities with the Technical Management Team.
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise finish carpentry crews on multiple projects.
  • Review project requirements, plans, specifications, and scopes of work before project startup.
  • Evaluate site conditions and project readiness prior to mobilization.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, tools, and project resources.
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, productivity goals, and safety requirements.
  • Identify operational challenges, risks, and constraints before they impact project performance.
  • Support projects requiring additional field leadership, workforce reinforcement, or technical assistance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop carpenters and field personnel.
  • Provide practical field guidance and hands-on instruction to improve workmanship and productivity.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain communication with builders, architects, designers, clients, supervisors, and internal teams.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of finish carpentry experience.
  • Proven experience leading field crews and coordinating construction operations.
  • Strong knowledge of doors, trim, wall paneling, Tongue & Groove ceilings, decorative beams, stair systems, and architectural millwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Experience coordinating manpower, materials, equipment, and project resources.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop field personnel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel between project sites.
  • Proficiency with construction-related software and platforms including Slack, Buildertrend, Procore, BuildingConnected, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and similar applications.
Additional Information
  • Annual salary: $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
