Job Title: Sales ClerkLocation: Union
Position Overview: The sales clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales department to include answering incoming calls and providing appropriate disposition of calls. Input quotes and orders into sales systems and relay pertinent order information to customers. Work within sales department in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers. Basic date entry activities and filing as needed. Will provide other general office administrative duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyaltyReceive requests for quotation, purchase orders, change orders, adjustments and cancelation from sales team.Use various sales platforms to retrieve customer's information, stock status information, and make changes to customers purchase ordersMaintain filingCommunicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively regarding company products to customersUnderstand and demonstrate the product or service to the customerInteracts with potential and existing customers through emails, telephone calls, and live website chats.Complete the daily call log detailing job bids, quotes, and customer follow-upsObtain all required approvals.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.Other duties as assigned

Learn and master CWI products and operational proceduresRespond to customer's inquiries and quotations in a timely mannerSkilled in using Microsoft Word and ExcelBusiness development skills and a passion for salesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targetsWork in various temperature environmentsWork in a dusty environmentSystem (MRP) orientationChecks Parts catalogs for proper part information and identification.Contacts vendors to obtain price bidsReplenishes stock as needed when shipments arriveCreate spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakesVerifies data by comparing it to source documentsUpdates existing dataRetrieve data from the database or electronic files as requestedPerform regular backups to ensure data preservationSort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lostRead SDS's to familiarized with chemicals usedFollow all PPEWork closely with other departmentsAttend scheduled meetings
Preferred qualifications:
High school or Ged1-2 years of inside sales /data entry experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service skillsAbility to communicate - verbal and written.Ability to perform basic math functions with accuracy.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Multi-Tasking skillsWorked with Quality systemsIdeally some manufacturing/production employment work historyPurchasing/Buying exp. is highly preferredExcellent attention to detailMinimum 45 - 50 wpm typing speedMS Access is a +Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesyMust be able to:Extended periods of sitting and using office equipment and computers.
