Administrative Assistant to the General Manager

TAMKO is seeking an Administrative Assistant at our Joplin, Missouri manufacturing facility to support the General Manager by providing front-office administrative support, coordinating plant and community activities, and serving as a key liaison between plant employees and corporate teams.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors; greet guests and coordinate appropriate site access and direct or escort visitors to the appropriate location.
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and coordinating business-related activities.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, lodging, and itineraries for plant leadership and visitors as needed.
- Conduct research, compile information, and create reports and summaries to support business operations and decision-making.
- Lead new employee onboarding activities and coordinate related documentation.
- Serve as a liaison for plant employees with Corporate HR and Accounting; follow up with cross-functional teams to gather information as needed.
- Serve as the point of contact for community events and requests (Community Goodwill) and coordinate plant participation.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, training sessions, employee events, including logistics, materials and catering arrangements.
- Track, order, and maintain adequate office supplies and coordinate administrative needs for the facility.
- Serve as a liaison for vendors (uniform, janitorial, pest control, etc.) and coordinate plant administrative support for capital projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and office efficiencies while supporting plant operational objectives.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail, and strong follow-up/organization skills.
