Description of Work
We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Specialist I to provide administrative support to the Community Transitioning Unit (CTU). Patients are typically transferred for long term treatment of their mental illness after repeated admissions. Many are homeless and have no source of income and housing; lacking a support system at home and in the community; and have inadequate coping and problem-solving skills. This position reports directly to the Clinical Nurse Manger and collaborates with the Ward Clerk on the other patient care units and will function in an environment requiring multitasking, adjusting to sudden change, and exposure to mentally ill patients. This position involves direct interaction with patients, staff, and other agencies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Grade Range: $37,782.00 - $66,120.00

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Excellent organizational, clerical, and communication skills both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Ability to operate office equipment including copier, fax machine, and multiline telephones
- Ability to work in a multidiscipline team environment
Conditional Requirements:
- ADA requirements to be discussed during the interview but include ability to kneel, walk up and down stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Working hours:
Day, 8:00am - 4:30pm
