Under supervision of the Executive Director, coordinates and oversees all aspects as it pertains to Slot Machine Compliance to ensure that all Federal, State and Community gaming laws and regulations are adhered to.
Minimum QualificationsExperience equivalent to one (1) year full-time gaming regulatory or closely related work involving the coordination, preparation and overseeing of slot machine conversions, installs, moves and upgrades. Must possess a valid gaming license/certification from the State of Arizona and /or the Ak-Chin Indian Community Gaming Commission.
Examples of Duties- Serves as liaison between the Arizona Department of Gaming and Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino Slot Operations and the Ak-Chin Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Schedules slot projects including but not limited to slot machine conversions, installs, moves and upgrades.
- Schedules shipments with slot machine vendors.
- Updates Agency shipments devices and information including gaming machines, game EPROMS, BV chips, mastercom' etc.
- Provides the Arizona Department of Gaming with applicable machine information (i.e. location, asset number, game name, serial number, and EPROM information.
- Obtains respective PAR & GLI letters for programs being used.
- Provides machine information to Agent Staff.
- Receives and completes appropriate paperwork when shipments arrive.
- Responsible for Kobetron EPROMS in comparison to GLI letter and /or GLI listing.
- Generates appropriate paperwork for installations and conversions for Agent Staff to use (Slot Access Form).
- Completes forms with appropriate information for Agent Staff during ADG Certification.
- Creates new and maintains files for machines and conversions; such as Harrah's Slot Control Worksheet, GLI letter, ADG Reports, PAR sheet and Access form for active Slot Files.
- Assists Agent Staff to complete slot projects during ADG Certification.
- Maintains database of Slot Floor, including stand & asset numbers, denomination, game name, percentages, serial number, all EPROM and installation data for active and inactive slots.
- Maintains listing of Routine Slot Inspections completed by Agent Staff.
- Maintains letters of jurisdictional approval from GLI.
- Downloads GLI approved listing for the State of Arizona and provides to Agent Staff.
- Maintains and reviews files of Customer and Agency Notifications from Slot Vendors with respect to current gaming devices.
- Maintains files of destroyed and returned EPROMS.
- Maintains files of changes pertaining to the Wide Area Progressives.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Tribal gaming regulations.
- Knowledge of the Ak-Chin Indian Community Gaming Compact.
- Knowledge of Casino internal controls and operational procedures.
- Knowledge of the National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards including Gaming Machines.
- Knowledge of documentation/record keeping principles and practices.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Groupwise.
- Skill in written and oral communication necessary for coordination with the Arizona Department of Gaming, Harrah's Ak-Chin Slot Operations, GLI and Slot Vendors.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships, and public relations/customer service principles and procedures with Federal, State, and Tribal regulatory agencies, upper management, co-workers, and the general public.
- Skill in observing employees for machine compliance with gaming regulations.
- Skill in observing/monitoring employees to ensure compliance with internal controls, and management practices and procedures.
- Skill in investigating matters as it pertains to Slot Machine concerns and issues.
