As a Clerical Assistant 3 with the Department of Transportation, you will help maintain accurate vehicle records and provide important customer support. In this position, you will provide a wide range of correspondence, research, correction, and customer information services that support accurate vehicle records and strong customer service. You will support both internal staff and external partners by ensuring information is clear, complete, and processed correctly. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Correspondence Support: Research executive requests, prepare formal letters, and ensure content is accurate and clearly presented
- Record Maintenance: Update electronic files, track information, and maintain organized records for program activities
- Customer Assistance: Respond to questions from customers and partners and explain requirements related to vehicle records
- Research Tasks: Review laws, policies, and system data to verify information and resolve record discrepancies
- Transaction Processing: Enter and update vehicle title, registration, and placard data within required systems
- File Management: Maintain complete case files and ensure materials are accessible to authorized staff

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience ; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
