Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Title: Senior SQL Database Administrator

Experience: 10-12 years

Location: Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Hybrid: 3 days per week

Fulltime

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance for high availability and scalability.
• Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Perform database administration tasks including backups, restores, indexing, patching, and security management.
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot application/database-related incidents.
• Work closely with application development teams to understand business requirements and implement database solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures, processes, and configurations.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Assist in database migration and modernization initiatives, including cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile or DevOps environments.

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL Server Administration activities including backup/recovery, monitoring, indexing, and security.
• Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.
• Experience troubleshooting production database issues.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data integration concepts.
• Familiarity with source control and deployment processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, or Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to cloud migration or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with Power BI or reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Scripting languages such as PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
