Northrop Grumman is seeking an Executive Administrator (EA) to support Corporate Government Relations. This position will report directly to the Vice President, White House and Office of the Secretary of War Programs, while also providing support to other senior executive team members as needed. As a valued member of the team, the EA is the center of day-to-day office operations and central to the teams outreach to our government customers.

This position will require onsite work at our Headquarters in Falls Church, VA.

The Executive Administrator communicates with enterprise-wide partners, executives, administrative and line management employees. This position requires the individual to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information necessitating tact, discretion, and judgment. Strong project management skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to multi-task are critical. In addition, the candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy, collaborative, fast paced, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactively manage complex executive calendars, including scheduling and prioritizing meetings, resolving conflicts, coordinating travel, and serving as the interface with Administration, Department of War, State Department, and other interagency scheduling entities.

  • Track the flow of documents, products, and correspondence (including briefing papers, prep memos, presentations, and approvals) to ensure timely review, approval, and distribution.

  • Lead or coordinate small projects and process improvements (e.g., standardizing templates, streamlining approval workflows, improving document tracking and records management).

  • Support planning and execution of both on- and off-site meetings and events, including invite management, room/venue coordination, transport, security clearances, technology support, and material preparation.

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination for other administrative support resources as needed, helping to align priorities and ensure consistent support across the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of eight (8) years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional or related field or an associates degree with six (6) years of experience or a bachelors degree with four (4) years' experience in project management or administrative support.

  • Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), SharePoint and intranet/internet proficiency.

  • Demonstrated experience independently managing complex executive calendars and schedules, including prioritizing meetings, resolving conflicts, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders and time zones.

  • Proven ability to manage document and product flow (e.g., briefing materials, correspondence, reports), including tracking status, routing for review and approval, and ensuring timely delivery and follow-through.

  • Understand the sensitive nature of working in an executive office and have good judgement, problem solving skills and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently, foresee needs, be proactive, and take ownership of issues and tasks with minimal direction, including recommending solutions and next steps to leadership. Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment and managing information flow in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system.

  • Ability to efficiently coordinate and optimize Outlook calendars, recurring cadences, and other routine items, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities and minimizing scheduling conflicts.

  • Prior experience coordinating both on and off-site meetings and/or events, including all aspects of logistics planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Experience operating as a strategic partner to senior leaders, taking on responsibilities that go beyond traditional administrative tasks, including coordinating cross-functional efforts, tracking actions and metrics, and supporting decision-making.

  • Ability to swiftly adapt to new tools/technologies to drive efficiency and organization across the global team.

  • Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to interface with executive level internal and external contacts with considerable autonomy.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives, from planning through execution, while supporting a variety of executive and management levels and coordinating with other administrative support across the organization.

  • Comfortable exercising sound judgment and discretion in representing leadership in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, and in determining when to act independently versus when to escalate or seek guidance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
