Hiring Database Administrator in Toronto, ON

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in a hybrid role, working 2 days in the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration with a focus on Oracle and DB2 LUW, as well as experience with Ansible.

• Must have Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or Engineering
• Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience administrating IBM DB2 or Oracle Server Database
• Must have at least 3 years of experience working on Windows, Linux, or AIX environments
• Must have solid knowledge of configuring database security, including authentication, authorization, audit, logging, and password policies
• Must have advanced scripting skills in Windows environments (Powershell) or Linux/AIX environments (Bash or Bourne)
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills in IBM DB2 or Oracle Server Database
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Familiarity with Ansible for automation tasks
• Experience in enabling database logging to ULS

• Implement security settings into the database (either manually or by script) to meet hardening standards
• Develop scripts to retrieve the status of hardening settings
• Enable database logging to ULS if not already done
• Collaborate with application owners to provide a list of items that require application team planning, such as resetting passwords and reviewing log files
