MSAD 58 is seeking a highly organized, dependable and professional Administrative Professional to join our Business Office team. This position will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Business Office and may include responsibilities related to payroll, human resources, and finance as well as assisting the Business Manager and Superintendent.

As a valued member of the team, the individual will work closely with the Business Manager, Payroll/Human Resources, and Superintendent while contributing to a collaborative, student-centered school community. The organization seeks a candidate who enjoys working with people, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Superintendent's Office is located in Phillips, Maine. MSAD #58 comprises Kingfield Elementary School (PreK-4), Phillips Elementary School (PreK-4), Day Mountain Regional Middle School (5-8), and Mt. Abram Regional High School (9-12).

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Assisting with or completing payroll processing and related documentation
  • Providing administrative support to the Business Manager, Human Resources, Payroll, and the Superintendent of Schools
  • Maintaining accurate records and files
  • Assisting with reporting, data entry, and financial documentation
  • Communicating effectively with staff, administration, and the public
  • Supporting daily office operations and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher in a related field
  • Knowledge of Maine School Law
  • Experience working with schools or nonprofit organizations
  • Experience working with large budgets, preparing complex financial reports, payroll, and human resources
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
