Job Details

Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Office Assistant to organize and coordinate office administration and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. As the Office Assistant, you play a key role in restaurant operations by onboarding employees, maintaining employee records, and assisting with reporting for payroll. Proficiency with computers and accurate data entry is of great importance for this role.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Support restaurant operations by maintaining office systems.
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures, assisting with payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
  • Onboard and offboards all employees and ensures that necessary paperwork is filed accordingly.
  • Inform employees about company benefits including health insurance policies, Paid Family Leave, Disability Insurance, Workers Compensation, and FMLA.
  • Complete payroll, including printing and editing timecards, notifying accounting of any irregular pay, and tracking spread of hours and sick pay.
  • Work with the General Manager and HR Manager to ensure compliance with SOPs and employment laws.
  • Oversee scanning of all receipts and invoices and submit all approved receipts and invoices to accounting
  • Oversee scanning of all guest receipts and submit any chargeback receipts to accounting.
  • The Office Assistant will occasionally serve as a Host to familiarize themselves with the operations and guests

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Must have at least two years of experience in accounting and/or as an assistant.
  • Professional demeanor and polished presentation
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Languages : French and Italian (highly preferred)
