Position Summary
The Legal Administrative Assistant will support the legal department with administrative, organizational, governance, and operational functions. This role will assist with maintaining legal and corporate records, organizing transaction and real estate files, coordinating document flow, tracking projects and deadlines, and supporting ongoing legal and compliance initiatives across the organization. This role reports to the General Counsel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize legal department files and records
- Assist with corporate governance and entity management, including annual reports, filings, and tracking deadlines
- Support real estate audits, acquisitions, lease files, and transaction organization
- Coordinate document execution, signatures, and filing processes
- Track ongoing legal projects, outstanding items, and follow-up tasks
- Assist with insurance, claims, and risk-related administrative matters
- Support policy, handbook, and compliance-related projects
- Assist with contract administration and document organization
- Coordinate with internal departments and outside vendors or counsel as needed
- Help maintain organization and workflow within the legal department
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting legal, real estate, risk, or related administrative environment preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business software
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working independently and escalating issues when appropriate
