The Department of Transportation is seeking a Clerical Assistant 1 who enjoys steady, hands-on work that makes a real impact. In this role, you will help process and organize essential Driver and Vehicle Services documents within the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Your attention to detail will support safe and accurate recordkeeping. This is your chance to build strong skills while contributing to a mission that supports communities statewide.

In this position, you will support document imaging and storage work that keeps Driver and Vehicle Services operating smoothly. As a Clerical Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Document Imaging: Receive and prepare source documents for scanning using an OPEX Falcon Scanner
  • Equipment Operation: Select correct scanning jobs, load documents, adjust settings, resolve jams, and maintain image quality
  • Quality Review: Check displayed images for clarity and accuracy and make adjustments or re-scan items as needed
  • Storage Preparation: Sort documents with Pennsylvania titles, build record center boxes, label contents, and organize boxes for storage and shipment
  • Skid Transport: Move completed skids using manual or motorized jacks and prepare them for pickup and warehouse delivery
  • Daily Reporting: Prepare written production reports showing work type, time spent, and total documents imaged

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
