YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Accounting Clerk will be play an important role in not only the reporting of non-gaming related data, but for reviewing and processing source data to provide accurate and timely entry to accounting systems and sub-systems. This position will require the preparation of daily spreadsheets ensuring the accuracy of all data. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for the process input data according to established accounting procedures, facilitating timely and accurate recordings. This position will require resolution of issues with collections, billings, and reconciliations, applying payments, chargebacks, etc. The Accounting Clerk must be organized and able to prioritize and manage tasks.
THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)- Communicate with company personnel and customers to ensure account records are accurate and complete
- Type correspondence, memos, file documents, etc., copies and distributes to proper recipients
- Provides management with proper reporting
- Ability to meet deadlines and focus on the accuracy of important details
- Performs other job-related duties as directed
- Review system documents for accuracy and completeness, as well as maintain any documentation for the established filing system of Accounting
- Notify management of any discrepancy with reporting; will assist in the research of locating the source of error and the resolution to correct said error
- Consistently maintains a positive attitude during workday
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and complies with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of the unsafe conditions

- Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English
- Must have proficiency and accuracy with computer systems in addition to knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Use a computer, keyboard, and 10-key or calculator
- Solve basic mathematical oriented problems
- Accurately follow established filing parameters
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and hotel guests
- Accurately review, post, and audit relevant information
- Accurately accept and process verbal and written instruction

- Previous lodging management system knowledge is preferred (i.e. LMS)

- Advanced knowledge of Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
- Office work environment
- Casino and resort work environment that includes smoke, low lighting, and video/audio saturation at various broadcast and volume levels
- May sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours to observe operations of the business which span 24 hours and 7 days per week
