This position provides scheduling and clerical support to the Nursing Department to help ensure that operations run smoothly and meet facility needs. The role focuses on organizing staff schedules, maintaining records, and supporting both administrative and clinical efforts. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Schedule Preparation: Use scheduling software to create and post work schedules for nursing staff
- Staff Coordination: Review call off lists and contact available workers to address staffing shortages
- Assignment Support: Adjust staff assignments at the direction of supervisors to maintain care levels
- Record Maintenance: Maintain overtime books, sign up sheets, and staffing records for the department
- Report Creation: Prepare reports on overtime usage, staffing levels, and scheduling concerns
- Clerical Assistance: Provide administrative support including typing, filing, copying, and receiving calls

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; o r
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Completion of a high school business curriculum.
- Previous experience working in a clerical position.
- Previous experience working in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience working in SAP or SRM entering shopping carts/work orders.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
