HFM Administrator

  • Experis
  • Melville, New York
  • Full Time

Our clients' finance systems team is in the final weeks of readying a cloned HFM instance for the June 2026 cutover and needs an experienced HFM resource in-seat immediately.

The stakes are straightforward: this contractor will be instrumental in supporting the company's first independent Q2 earnings release and its first standalone month-end close in July 2026. Both are hard deadlines. The team is thinly staffed following recent departures and was unable to complete a mock close or parallel testing during the May close. They need someone who can step in, get oriented quickly, and start delivering.

This is a high-visibility role in a newly independent organization. The person in this seat will have direct access to the Finance Systems Leader and will be working on some of the most critical system readiness work in the company right now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support HFM operational readiness for the June 2026 spin-off cutover, including mock close preparation and parallel testing

  • Troubleshoot data load issues, metadata errors, and system performance problems in a cloned HFM environment

  • Manage metadata hierarchy changes including Chart of Accounts, entity structures, custom dimensions, and mapping tables

  • Validate data and controls within FDMEE and HFM processes throughout the close cycle

  • Support finance users with analysis, ad hoc requests, and day-to-day application questions

  • Coordinate with IT and third-party resources on system enhancements, updates, and environment setup

  • Prepare the HFM environment for the Q2 2026 earnings release and the first independent July month-end close

  • Maintain documentation for spin-off-specific configurations and any changes made during the transition

What You Need

  • 5+ years of HFM administration experience with hands-on ownership of metadata, data loads, rules, and troubleshooting

  • Deep familiarity with FDMEE including data validation, mapping, and process management

  • Experience supporting financial close cycles in a corporate or enterprise environment

  • Strong understanding of financial consolidation concepts: intercompany eliminations, currency translation, equity pickup

  • Smart View proficiency for end-user support and testing

  • Ability to work independently with limited ramp time in an environment under active construction

  • Comfort working with offshore teams and managing time zone overlap (India-based team collaboration required)

What Puts You Ahead

  • Prior experience in a HFM environment this shortens ramp time significantly and is weighted heavily

  • Experience supporting a spin-off, carve-out, or large-scale EPM migration rather than a steady-state environment

  • Familiarity with SAP and other EPM tools in a multi-system finance architecture

  • ERP background (SAP preferred) with an understanding of how source system data flows into HFM

  • Oracle EPM certification or formal HFM/FDMEE training
