Branch Administrator Trainee

PURPOSE: Provide administrative assistance to the Branch by performing clerical tasks that are repetitive in nature and minimally complex. Perform functions necessary for the operation of the branch, including Human Resources support, production scheduling/shipping, inventory support, inside sales support, and basic accounting /bookkeeping support.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values.
• Assist with answering phones and general office administration functions.
• Perform all duties associated with the sale and shipping of rebar products
o Receiving and processing of customer orders
o Generate and organize production tags
o Organize tag and shipping paperwork
o Issue tags to Production team
o Coordinate with Production team regarding order progress
o Coordinate with the Shop Manager and detailing team on production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
o Arrange trucking with freight companies to schedule deliveries.
o Maintain jobs within database (updating information, revised shipping dates, uploading paperwork, etc.)
• Assist sales and estimating staff in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations.
• Assist with sales follow-up and reporting.
• Foster exceptional working relationships with customers and vendors.
• Assist with basic accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Assist with weekly payroll hour reports.
• Assist with the communication of all pertinent Human Resources information to location employees.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Human Resources and payroll issues.
• Assist Safety Coordinator and Placing Supervisor in recording keeping.
• Assist with administrative safety activities including the completion of first reports, accident investigations and other reports as needed.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and math skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Able to coordinate multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail are essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Two-year degree from an accredited school or college
• One (1) year of experience as an office administrator or comparable industry experience

• Overtime hours may be required

Pay Range 37K- 43K annually
