Position Summary
Mitchell Technical College is seeking a highly organized, professional, and service-oriented Executive Assistant to the President. This position provides comprehensive administrative support to the President and Leadership Team while serving as a key point of coordination for executive operations, communications, and institutional initiatives. The ideal candidate demonstrates discretion, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level administrative support to the President and Leadership Team.
- Manage calendars, scheduling, travel logistics, and meeting coordination.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting materials.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the President's Office and faculty, staff, students, community partners, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain confidential records and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with institutional events, community engagement activities, and special projects.
- Support internal and external communications on behalf of the President's Office.
- Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion of institutional projects and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the mission of Mitchell Technical College.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of administrative support experience, preferably in executive office or higher education setting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard office technologies.
- Comfort and familiarity with modern digital workspace tools, including an openness to utilizing basic Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilities for drafting, scheduling, or routine task efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups.
