Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Document Specialist for a contract opportunity in Bellevue, WA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, independent work and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and consistency.
As a Document Specialist, you will support an important file room digitization project, helping transition physical records into a well-organized digital document system. This is a fully trainable role with clear processes, supportive direction, and steady, task-focused work. Key Responsibilities
- Scan physical documents using a multifunction copier/scanner and ensure files are captured accurately.
- Rename scanned documents according to established file naming conventions.
- Save and organize digital files in the correct folders within SharePoint.
- Perform quality checks to confirm documents are complete, legible, and properly stored.
- Support file room cleanup by preparing documents for shredding or long-term retention after digitization.
- Work independently through a high volume of records while maintaining consistency and accuracy.

- Pay: $25.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Scan, digitize, rename, and organize physical documents into a digital records system.
- Support a file room cleanout project by processing documents efficiently and accurately.
- Use SharePoint, email, and basic file-management tools to store and organize electronic records.
- Complete quality checks to ensure scanned files are legible, complete, and saved correctly.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, records, filing, document control, or similar role preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including email, file saving, folder navigation, and document organization.
- Ability to follow established naming conventions and step-by-step processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and ability to meet daily project goals.
- Comfortable working independently for extended periods in a repetitive, task-oriented role.
- Willingness to learn scanning equipment, SharePoint processes, and internal document procedures.
- Must be local to Bellevue, WA and able to work onsite 100%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with document scanning, filing, records management, digital archiving, or document retention.
- Familiarity with SharePoint or similar document storage systems.
- Experience using multifunction copiers, scanners, or office equipment.
- Strong organizational habits and comfort working with high-volume document processing.
